I like this idea. Currently I create a separate layer or make a duplicated sheet. And copy and paste items into those.

Also would be nice to have it remember last setting, so every time it doesn't revert back and have to do it all over again.

I second this. About 95% of the time I have to hide the legend headers, so if there is an option to set the legend headers to hide by default, it would make finishing up a take off faster.

Not sure if the auto can scan the page and find a measurement, and do a check. And if it finds a wrong, to have it flagged. (Of course have a +/- threshold)
