I have a similar labor item. Just put 1 in the formula and that should do it for you. Ignore the take-off type. It'll multiply your Cost Each value by 1 and that's it.

Not sure about your other questions but the Auto-Scale feature has been temporarily deactivated while the ZZ staff works on improving its reliability.
