Multiplier for a page

Planned

I'm trying this job in your platform now and sadly hit a wall and can't use zz. We do a bunch of conceptual estimates that require a bit of detail. It is common to receive a high-rise where you only get 1 page for level 10-20 and then another page for levels 20-40 for example. The ask is to have the ability to put a multiplier on a single sheet and everything you takeoff on that sheet gets multiplied is the primary request.

This is more of a back-burner 2ndary feature: Its also really easy to miss a level or add another level, in my example above if you caught it, I did level 20 twice, so some sort of visual where you can name the pages.

We've been in discussion internally about this very topic recently. We plan to have 2 ways to do this. One would be with a multiplier that you could enter like you mention. We will need to discuss some more internally, since we need to ensure that multiplier could be applied to specific sections on a page (not the entire takeoff item, which could span multiple pages).

Another way we are planning to deal with this is allow you to select a bunch of items on the page and create a "Takeoff Group" or similar (I think OST calls it a Typical Section, but we want to come up with a different word...the word Section has too many meanings). Basically with this Takeoff Group we would give the ability to stamp it almost like a point count, and you could mirror or rotate each stamp to different orientations. This method I just mentioned would be good for hotels, etc. to takeoff a room or bathroom and stamp it many times, etc.

Maybe the right solution is we allow Takeoff Groups to be created and the user chooses to either stamp them or enter a multiplier.
