Adding a vertical length to a linear takeoff

Can there be an option to add a vertical measurement to a linear length, the thought is to click on an endpoint of the linear, then right click with an option to add a vertical length, this then would add to the total length for that linear takeoff.

Good idea, I suppose it would open a box to input a desired length? how would you visualize this?

Yes I would enter a manual length, then at that point it would put a plus sign or some sort visual reference that there is a vertical measurement at that point
