Auto Scale disabled?

Under Review

Am I imagining things or is the AI no longer automatically detecting & applying scales to newly added pages all of a sudden?

We are still optimizing this feature for accuracy. Sorry, but currently is it disabled.

I believe you should have the option to disable it or enable it. I have seen the AI get scales wrong some of the time.

It is disabled for now and you will have to do the scale with AI after you upload the plans wich is still way better than PS in my opinion

Yeah no worries. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong on my end.

I buried PS 6 feet under in mid 2025 once zz added all the essential features I needed

I just figured out you should not use the versioning feature that allows you to move or copy takeoffs to the newest version automatically. It now does this without a scale resulting in incorrect takeoff quantities.

Thanks for the input guys.

@Kory thanks for reporting that. We will dig into this right away. In the absence of AI auto detecting the scale on the new page, do you think it is safe to copy the scale from the previous version of the same page since it's likely the same scale?

Kory Podgaysky 6d 7h

I don't think it's anymore safe to copy the scale from a previous version as it is use ai detected auto scale. End of the day, the end user still needs to check scale and accept responsibility for the scale and their takeoffs on that page.

My vote is to bring back the ai detected auto scale, uncheck it by default, and add a "use at your own risk" disclaimer for right now. I used and abused that feature, and it worked great for me 99% of the time.

Thanks for the feedback Kory!
