the " is in front of it because if a pipe size is added, it would show 2". that's not from the dropdown.

My dropdown is set like below: The dropdown will show the numbers, the callout of the dropdown [dropdownName] will call out the value.

@KevOB, If you are looking to populate your Takeoff with items from your template, you could try it this way: To get to the menu, you can click "/" and click on templates or press spacebar twice...

but now of course, I try to record it, and it makes a liar out of me. lol

When I recreated it, I just clicked an item to record and after I clicked okay on the tool, the undocked template switched to Takeoff.
