Hi
I would like to create point counts for openings and use the materials and labor feature to differentiate between the opening types. I would like ZZ to report on the overall cost of the openings, and not the point count of openings.
An example of an opening name might look like the text below. The commas allow me to export to Excel and spread out the point count name into different columns, because the only way I can currently do what I am trying to do, is with Excel:
3-0 x 7-0, ,, Wood Dr., ,, Blank, HM Frame, ,, ,, ,, ,
I have brute force entered most of the possible opening options into materials:

and per the above I was successful in telling ZZ these are not 1 HR openings, and I assigned a $48 value to 3 hinges for the 254 openings, resulting in $12,192.
I could continue down the path of assigning the missing costs, but it feels like reinventing the wheel, and perhaps there is a better way to go about this? Can you let me know if I should continue, or if there is a better way. Thanks
Greg
Hi Gregg, can I send over a zoom invite soon and discuss this with you. If you want to meet, go to the chat window and ask for Todd to send over a zoom invite. I am here for another hour or so.
Todd
In the 2-9 x 7-0 opening, I have built up materials properties with costs and Custom (Door) checkboxes. The checkboxes are toggling on and off the materials properties as they should be. Can you help me figure out the two labor properties (install and freight) - their values should be percentages of the sum of the costs of materials. I am not sure how to build the formulas for this.
Thanks
Greg
