Using "Extract Schedule" -> change type -> template

Love the "extract schedule", today was the first day putting into practice with about 40-50 QTO point count types. Now, I'm looking for a way to make all these point counts have the same "Name" formula, "Symbol", "Measurement Type", "Measurement 1", "Measurement 2", "Measurement 3". I thought it would be possible to create an on-the-fly template and just "change type" for the auto created QTO's but that wasn't the case. Is there another way for this to happen - a workaround?
