Q & ASection Level Properties Measurements
Will the section level properties include the measurement dimension values like the properties menu does?
Where this could be helpful is for a Cast in Place wall that varies in thickness and height several times. The size of each section could be set individually but the total length, wall area, volume etc will total automatically.
Hey David, we've discussed this internally, and we are considering adding that ability. The main holdback for us is if you change the wall height per section, what wall height is shown in the reports at the takeoff? Right now, it would show the wall height of the takeoff, even though some sections may be overwritten at a different height, which could be misleading for some reports. For now, you can use your own custom properties to calculate at the section level for varying wall heights, etc.
Maybe the report could just show " *varies* " for values that aren't resolvable.
