Hello All,
I'm new to ZZ coming from Planswift. My templates are not porting over well (which I was aware of prior to the move) but wanted to see if anyone had some templates they be willing to share to help make the transition for my team and I as pain free as possible!
Thank you for any and all help!
Hi Jake,
Do you have existing Templates in Planswift, You can export as a ".swifttemplate" file and import into zzTakeoff. It is not a one to one import (refer to Documentation)
To Import the File in the templates Tab :

Hey Sam,
Yes, we tried but unfortunately the equations aren't coming over the same which I was aware of from our demo call with Parker. Just trying to see if there are any templates available from either you guys at ZZ of another community member.
How many assemblies are in this template Jake? Does it have multiple lists that it pulls the info from?

I ported over the Site Utilities over to ZZ. Took a lot of rebuilding but it is doable.
Shawn,
Depending on the DIV 7 section, it's comparable to what you have shown above. Same issue you just mentioned with the rebuilding, it's doable but just curious if ZZ could provide a starter pack that I could use for reference as I'm rebuilding.
I had to create a custom property for any PS property and add it to the template it belonged to.

for the ones that relied on a list, I took the list from PS and copied it in.

Then recode the items with the new property [].
With the site utilities, the items were the same in each category, so I was able to remake one item and copy paste the amount I wanted and then change the size of the material to each one.
if you do go this route, try to make the custom properties close to what PS has them so you're not making a lot of edits.

To turn this into an actual name, you will need to click the gear and select "text with Tags.
Is your template kind of the same? one folder contains many, but they all perform the same function but are different sizes?
Shawn is correct, as long as your formulas are updated to use the zz format, and you have all the custom properties, you can get the template import from ps working. We do have an update we are working on to help auto cleanup these formulas, but that is under development currently and not published to the production environment.
@Jake, how are you making out? did you start converting them?
