I was reading some articles in the Quick Bid Kbase and was able to confirm you can import conditions and quantities into Quick Bud via a properly formatted excel sheet. Since direct integration seems highly unlikely, there should be a way to automatically format the ZZT export and maybe a bot route to import into Quick Bid ?
I may not be explaining it well enough but the thought of each Quick Bid user being able to do this blows my mind.
Allowing the power and collaboration of ZZT and dumping it right into Quick Bid.
Many years of data are poured into Quick Bid and this would be significant.

Thoughts?
Right now we use such an intermediate excel file to get from PlanSwift to a fixed width text file for our POS. Formatting of takeoff data before export to excel would be highly desirable.
Being able to export to an excel template may go a long way in zzTakeoff playing well with others.
Hi John, Agreed. And automation that would provide less hands on for import/export would be key and reduce the margins for human error
Thanks for all the input here. Great ideas. At some point we plan to have a scripting language, and allow custom "Plugins". I could see (especially with AI) our ability to quickly generate files that can be exported in nearly any format you would want. First we would have to build some infrastructure for it, but then the sky is the limit.
Regarding a direct integration to desktop app, I agree it would be tricky since ours is web based and theirs is not, but who knows, at some point we could build a bridge between worlds (Electron Wrapper or similar). The ZZ Bifröst! For now, I agree, some sort of export is the best option.
