Would it be possible to use the highlighter similar to a pen or marker, or install a marker/pen tool with opacity? This way, I could change the color and size of the highlighter/pen to mark up sections or draw on the plans.
i second this, a pen or marker tool would be incredibly useful
Thanks for the feedback here. I'm curious, would you be primarily using this with a tablet such as an iPad?
The tablet would be a great addition but I create screenshots a lot and then mark them up with the "pen" feature through "snipping tool" in windows with my mouse all the time, I personally prefer it to creating a bubble or box highlight. Another note that ties into this feature, I appreciate the feature "copy as image" but it is only available when the area does not have takeoffs or annotations. Would there be a way to "copy as image" to include takeoffs, markups and annotations (kinda like a screenshot)?
Sounds good Bryan. We actually have a feature for "Copy as Screenshot" that we're working on. Actual, screenshots in the browser are a little tricky, but I think we have a solution. If you hold CTRL while you select, it will force the "smart select" popup and give you the options even if there are objects on the page in the selection box. I believe the screenshot ability will be available in the next update. 🙂
Hi, Heber.
I come from performing takeoffs in Bluebeam Revu. Therefore, I am naturally used to having a "pen" feature to mark up the document. Might not be a big deal. The workaround could be the screenshot and drawing on it. Personally, this would be used on Teams calls when sharing screens and not on an IPad.
Thanks,
John Rinacke
Fantastic! Thank you very much for all your hard work!!
@John We are very interested in harvesting BlueBeam users and providing a takeoff + collaboration all-in-one plan solution. Thank you for this feedback. We will work to add a tool for this 👍🏻
@Bryan Thank you too! Your feedback and input here in our community has been very helpful.
