Editing Custom Properties

Hi Team,

I accidentally made my Bar Diam a Text property instead of number, now when i go to edit the property its already locked and i can't change it... do it have to delete and recreate it?

Also the 2 save buttons are confusing. (I've clicked the wrong one like 10 times, even though i know its the wrong one!)

if i don't scroll down i can't see the save, which takes me to the add new property window!

could you please name the bigger one Save & Close to differentiate.

Hi Thomas,

I don’t believe there’s another way once the property type is set. In ZZTakeoff, the data type is locked after creation, so it will need to be deleted and recreate a Name &Type property. The only editable fields are Group, Applies To, and Default Mode Items & Products...etc.

Hi, yes you need to delete it to change the name or type, we use optimized lookups and need to lock these when created.

Is the same true for the whole list? i can't find a way to edit the list / add to it after I've saved it. do i need to delete and rebuild?

You can edit dropdown items without needing to delete the whole dropdown.
