I’ve been having some great conversations lately about assemblies, lists, and workflows in zzTakeoff, and it reminded me why this community stands out. The team behind zzTakeoff is incredibly responsive, and the users here jump in to help each other like coworkers sitting right next door.
That sparked an idea I think many of us could benefit from.
The goal is simple:
This isn’t about being an expert. I’m not claiming to be one. I’m just trying to be a little better at my job tomorrow than I am today — and I know many of you feel the same way.
You’ll be able to upload, download, and collaborate freely with others who are just as committed to learning and sharing.
Building your first shared assembly
organizing your assemblies
improving your takeoff workflow
Let’s build something useful together!
Sooooooo..... as I was using copilot to smooth the above message, it created some links. Those links begat more links with assemblies, materials, and variables. Then I thought what if used the Claude plugin to create the assemblies in zzTakeoff. Which it did. Remarkably..
what Claude plugin did you use and how did you use it?
I had the Claude extension open in Chrome. It has some editing to be done once it does but it gives you some good ideas that you might not have thought of on the fly.

Awesome, thanks!
