Area Cut Out Tool - behaving like a drunken sailor

When using the cutout tool the cursor and entire screen has extreme lag making it all but unusable. It's exclusively happening only when the cut out tool is active.

Hey Levi, thanks for reporting, does this happen with a specific project, or specific area that you cut out of, or does it happen all the time?
I had the same issue yesterday myself.
