Adding Dimensions Within a Count Assembly

Completed

Hello! I have only been using zz Takeoff for about an hour and I already like it more than Planswift. I am a concrete estimator, so I take off on a lot of pavement and foundations. I was testing out how well this software takes off foundations by taking off footings and I noticed that the count assembly does not allow me to add dimensions, length, width, depth so I can get a cubic yardage of concrete. Just wondering if you guys plan to add this feature in the near future, thanks!

Thank you so much. That is a great compliment for this team. You are correct. We were running behind when we wanted to release our last update so we made the decision to come back to the point count and add the variables.

I would also add that having the concrete take-off items scale to the dimension indicated in the item is important. We like to see a continous footing line weight at 3'0 if it's a 3' wide footing, or if a pad footing, the count scale would reflect a 5'0 x 5'0 footing. Distinguishing foundation wall take-off from continuous footing is imporant as well.

Thanks for all the feedback. We will be sure to add these features.

Hey Josh!

In our latest update, we added support for scaled line widths, and a few updates before that, we added support for scaling counts and calculating cubic yards. 🙂
