When in REPORTS and I click out of "Columns" window would like for window to disappear

When in “Reports” tab. When I click on “Columns” and customize my sort I instinctively click out of window to continue on with sorting activities but I always get hung up on having to hit the [ X ] close button or the ESC key and then move on. Is it possible (simple fix) to modify window to just click outside window w/o having to hit [ X ] to keep moving?

Maybe a checkbox in the General Settings to toggle on/off "Auto Close Popups" to accommodate different user types?

Great feature request! One note is you can draw and reorder your grouping at the top, including dragging from the columns in the popup onto the grouping bar at the top. You can also drag from the grouping into the floating box to erase them. Its kinda nice to have the floating columns window, but I could see wanting it gone when clicking away.
