After a busy weekend on ZZ I have listed out my major requirements again, all these seem like they should not be too hard to add but would be a massive time saver for me and would really appreciate them.
The software has come on massively in the last few months to a point where I can now use it so thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes.
Here's my list and hopefully some of these are all ready in the pipeline.
- Option to stay in templates when doing takeoffs or have 2 columns 1 takeoff and 1 templates?
It drives me mad that it jumps to takeoffs, (I know I can undock but thats not the same as it requires another screen or the window to be smaller to allow it at the side)
- Ability to create or select from takeoffs folders inside items and takeoffs
- Add a 1:25 scale ( I use it quite a lot )
- In reports I need the folder name to show up in the folder column for folders & items (only currently shows in takeoffs)
- I need to get the project name into items & takeoffs (PS was [\jJob\Name]
Hopefully you can add some of these for me soon?

Hey Kevin, thanks for these requests! We're knocking out community requests as fast as we can. I believe the project name will be accessible in items/takeoffs in our next major update via "[Project/Name]".

Hey Kevin, yes, the project name "[Project/Name] was released with the latest update.
Allowing people to undock any single tab or dock it to any side panel in any order should resolve Kevin's first issue and would go a long way in making new users feel at home.

How would I get that to show up, just had a play and was unable to get it to work.
Also have there been any plans to add folders to reports and copy folders with takeoffs? I am still unable to fully commit to zz until this is solved, in fact I have only been able to use it on a couple of small jobs at this point.
Hey Kevin, you just need to type "[Project/Name]' into a text with tags input.
We've also added the 1:25 scale for metric.
Regarding the folders in item reports, that is already possible if you group by "Item & Usage" instead of item name or item usage
