Plans to support CAD import?

Under Review

Every now and then I get a planset that would be easier to takeoff in the CAD vs dealing with improperly set up matchlines. I know that a "page stitching" feature is in development. Until then, are you planning to ever allow CAD import and takeoff?

Thanks for the question Martin. You can use the 'opaque' overlays to align multiple images now. I forwarded your question about importing cad images to the dev team to respond to.

Bumping this one to see if there's any other interest out there besides me to have the ability to import and perform takeoff on CAD files.

I was thinking about this one today. Now and then, I get a CADD file. I import these into AGTEK or TBC to get my earthwork takeoffs. The thought is this...... If we could import the CADD file, use the convert to function here for our takeoffs, and also then be able to copy and paste those to the individual plans, so I can print out takeoffs to give to the field.

The stitching function comes into play here as well. That being said, how do we integrate the "viewports" that CADD has, which the Architects/Engineers use to print out the individual sheets?

Importing the CADD file would be a game changer to the takeoff speed (When I get those files)......
