I did search through the articles and did not find any results on this specific OCR but forgive me if this has been addressed already.
When performing takeoff I will often use my OST along with a plan room that has performed OCR on all the documents. On one, or more, monitors I will have the takeoff portions going and on another I will have the planroom open. IF it has the OCR done I will word search not only specs, but also the plans themselves. It is extremely useful as a time saving shortcut, The use cases are endless and each trade would benefit substantially having this option.
I am sure many will have examples to show. For example, I may want to search plans for Fire Dampers, Testing, Alternate, etc. Each estimator would have their favorites to most likely go to. When working for GC's I used this extensively. Is this something on the road map?
This level of detail would be great for the Blueprint Tab idea!
+1. I got bluebeam open now using the search feature.
Hi Mark / John / Kyle! Thanks for the input. We will for sure be adding search ability. This will be a lot better now that we have Web Workers that will be able to process in the background while you're doing other things (such as starting a search, and you could still zoom/pan around while it's finding what you searched for). Our current priority is the items & assemblies with formulas, but after we get that out we will start adding a bunch more of these navigational features.
