I'm playing around with the new update this morning and really like where the new Section Properties feature is going.
A couple suggested improvements:

The 'parent' manual takeoff does not inherit the section property the 'child' takeoffs are assigned.
Side note on this- if the 'child' takeoffs are assigned to multiple different section properties (i.e. estimate breakouts) would the 'parent' manual takeoff handle that sum formula accordingly and show up multiple times on reports?
Hey Victor, thanks for the feedback! This one is interesting. When you run a 'sum' command or a formula to add up the child takeoffs, we currently don't know which sections the value comes from (only the takeoff total). This may be possible if we were to somehow pull the child takeoff sections up to the manual takeoff, so you could do breakouts on the "manual takeoff", but I don't know the feasibility of that. I'll send this to the team for further discussion.
Ideally, you would have 1 takeoff that is "Drywall Partition, A3", and within that, you would select sections and assign them a custom property that determines the wall height (you would need to manually calculate wall area with this approach), and then in your reports, you would be able to do breakouts per section per wall height, etc.
Yeah, I was trying to conceptualize how this one would work too.
I'm not sure how others are handling these situations, but I often have at least a few takeoff that are like this:

I'm really only looking for the parent/manual takeoff quantity but still need a way to organize and follow my QTO.
