I can't wait to try out the updated version when it comes out. One thing that bothers me is the screen real estate with two side panels on the left and right. I would like the ability to collapse and resize them to my liking. Also, if you could get these to "pop out" so I could drag this window to another screen while still maintaining the sync between the two web browsers, you would get a gold star. For example, here is a screenshot in Assemble where we have this ability in the web, so I know it can be done!
Thanks for the input Kyle 🙂 We can't wait to get this next update out. We're getting really close. We'll start with resizable sidebars (completed already in the latest release), but will follow shortly after with collapsible. One of our internal team was asking just a couple days ago about having 2 browser tabs working together. I think this would be really useful. We definitely want a gold star! We will work hard to make it happen.
Just to clarify for any other users reading this that have not played with zzTakeoff yet: zzTakeoff is real-time, so any updates you make (adding areas, linears, counts, etc) will update for all users instantly including multiple tabs on the same computer. I think the key addition needed to accomplish what Kyle is asking for is to make 2 tabs on the same computer "in sync" so that selecting something from one tab can start a takeoff in the other tab, etc. so it can be web based, but act like a multi-window app.
Hi Heber,
Hope you had a great New year. Am i missing something something on the side bars. I cannot change the size. Please let me know if im missing something. I see in the upper comment from you that it was in the last release.
Thank you Sir!
Hi Rick 🙂 Happy New Year! 🚀
My apologies. The release is not quite out yet. We had some delays, but we very close. We're testing as we speak trying to get everything finalized.
Thank you Heber! I appreciate it!
Rick,
With regards to your question about resizing side bar refer to post from Heber on the Inside Track
Better use of screen real estate (collapsible will be coming in the future).
