Can you include a keyboard function - "1", "2", "3" or "4" function to begin a new occurrence of one of the associated items" 1 for New Area, 2 for New Linear, 3 for New Segment or 4 for New Count?
Thanks for the input. We'll make sure to add hotkeys for these things (customizable by the user).
Thanks Heber. When I estimate, I like to keep my eyes on what I'm doing. It's nice to just click a hotkey and keep moving. :-)
Daniel,
You may find recent Inside Track Post.
N - new section
Page Up - prev page
Page Down - next page
T - align points top (if multiple points are selected)
B - align points bottom (if multiple points are selected)
L - align points left (if multiple points are selected)
R - align points right (if multiple points are selected)
This is great. It should really make things easier.
For clarification, there isn’t currently a shortcut that allows me to add additional linear segments without having to use the “add segment” button at the top of the screen?
We'll build a document soon listing the shortcuts, but you can select an existing segment on the page, and press "N" to start a new segment. You can also hover over the takeoff item in either the left or right sidebar and click the "+" icon on that item. We are still planning to add 1, 2, 3, 4 hotkeys, too, for starting a completely new takeoff item.
Great news! The keyboard shortcuts you requested have been implemented in our latest update. Here's a complete overview of the new measurement shortcuts:

You can now find all these shortcuts by clicking the "Keyboard Shortcuts" option in the menu (look for the keyboard icon).
We'll be expanding this list in the future and adding user customization options.

This is awesome, thanks!
