This is great. It should really make things easier.

For clarification, there isn’t currently a shortcut that allows me to add additional linear segments without having to use the “add segment” button at the top of the screen?

We'll build a document soon listing the shortcuts, but you can select an existing segment on the page, and press "N" to start a new segment. You can also hover over the takeoff item in either the left or right sidebar and click the "+" icon on that item. We are still planning to add 1, 2, 3, 4 hotkeys, too, for starting a completely new takeoff item.

Great news! The keyboard shortcuts you requested have been implemented in our latest update. Here's a complete overview of the new measurement shortcuts:

Quick Start Measurements:

• 1: New Area measurement
• 2: New Linear measurement
• 3: New Segment measurement
• 4: New Count measurement

Additional helpful shortcuts we've added:

• N: Start new section of current type
• Backspace: Remove last point while drawing
• Arrow Keys: Draw/move selected in arrow direction
• Shift: Toggle ortho/snap settings
• A: Toggle arc point on selected node

For alignment (when multiple points are selected):

• T: Align to top
• B: Align to bottom
• L: Align to left
• R: Align to right

General shortcuts:

• Esc: Stop current tool, clear selection
• Delete: Delete selected items
• Page Up: Go to previous page
• Page Down: Go to next page
• Ctrl + S: Save changes
• Ctrl + C: Copy selected items
• Ctrl + V: Paste copied items

You can now find all these shortcuts by clicking the "Keyboard Shortcuts" option in the menu (look for the keyboard icon).

We'll be expanding this list in the future and adding user customization options.
