Break Apart Area Takeoffs

I know we have a break apart for linear takeoffs, what about for area takeoffs? I'm thinking you draw a line though the area where you want the break apart to occur.

In addition to that, it would be nice if you could draw a line through all items in a plan. Say they phase the project out after you already took the project off whole.

That will help when you have a slab with multiple thickness sections. You can measure the entire slab first, then break it into separate lines for Section 1 -100mm thick (depth), Section 2 -125, Section 3 - 150mm thick, etc. This will make the estimate much clearer and more efficient.
