Import a symbol library (from Bluebeam/CAD or similar sources)
Assign symbols as count shapes
Reuse those symbols across projects
Symbol file types are .btx
The workaround for now I found was to draw the symbol using a takeoff tool, switching the quantity to 'Section Count'
The image drawn should be 1 section. copy the shape (ctrl c) then use (ctrl v) to paste it.
One hand on the mouse to aim, and ctrl v to paste in place.
It actually works well but I can't save the shape to use on other projects.
Short Video Using Custom Shapes as Counts
This was a request from a customer with a large number of people stuck on bluebeam that would like to switch to zzTakeoff
This would be very cool
