Copy to Clipboard

Hi Jeremy, thanks for reporting. Is this happening on all plans or just one plan? Are you able to send a screenshot so I can try to duplicate this? Can you try copying to a clipboard and then pasting in the notes tool? I was just able to copy the image below to my clipboard and paste it into the notes tools. The results from the AI are sometimes unpredictable. Sometimes it's very good and sometimes the data isn't' available to extract or recognize from the image. Would you mind emailing me a screenshot to what you're trying to copy?

Hi Jeremy. To clarify, when you select a box on the page, and then click "Copy to Clipboard", then it copies the actual text from the page into the clipboard. If you want to paste it as a note, you can click the note tool from the toolbar at the top, and draw a box on the page, then paste the text into a note:

If you right click on the page, the "Paste" there is specific for pasting objects (like takeoff or annotations) that you have copied to the clipboard. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping "Copy to Clipboard" could work like "Crop as New Page," but instead allow pasting the screenshot directly onto any plan page. This would help place details from other sheets without constantly switching between them, especially since linking to detailed callouts on other sheets isn’t currently supported.

That's a great idea. Maybe we could add a "Copy Image to Clipboard" as a separate option, and rename the current one to "Copy Text to Clipboard" for clarity.
