This Privacy Policy explains how zzTakeoff, LLC ("zzTakeoff," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, including zztakeoff.com and any other websites, subdomains, and domains we operate in connection with our services, and our online construction takeoff software and related services (together, the "Service").

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control. We will comply with applicable laws that restrict how we may use or disclose information about you or that require additional notices. Throughout this policy, we use examples to help explain our practices; examples are not complete lists.

2. Information We Collect

Account and contact information. When you register, purchase, or request information, we may collect information such as your name, company name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

Payment information. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.

Your Content. When you use the Service, you upload and create files and data such as plans, drawings, images, specifications, measurements, takeoff data, estimates, messages, and project information. Your Content belongs to you, as described in our Terms of Use.

Usage information. We collect information about how the Service is accessed and used, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, features used, and performance data.

Support and communications. When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your message, attachments, and contact details.

Surveys, contests, and promotions. If you choose to participate in a survey, contest, sweepstakes, or other promotion, we collect the information you submit as part of your entry. Participation is always voluntary.

Information from others. We may receive information about you from others, such as when a teammate invites you to a project or workspace, or when business partners or industry events provide us contact information.

3. How We Use Information

Your Content. We access Your Content only as needed to operate, maintain, support, and secure the Service. We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising.

Artificial intelligence. Some Service features and support processes use third-party artificial intelligence services to process information, including Your Content when those features or processes are used. We do not permit these providers to use your information to train their models.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, customer relationship management, email delivery, and analytics. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services and are subject to confidentiality obligations.

Authorized sales and support providers. We share contact and account information with authorized third parties providing sales, support, and training services on zzTakeoff's behalf.

Advertising platforms. We may share limited contact information, such as hashed email addresses, with advertising platforms (for example, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising) to reach audiences similar to our customers, show more relevant ads, and measure ad performance. Workspaces. If you use the Service through a workspace owned by your employer or another organization, the workspace owner and administrators may access your content and activity within that workspace. Other workspace members, including those with view-only access, can see your name, your email address, and the content and activity you contribute to the workspace - for example, templates you build (including their formulas) and who created or last modified a takeoff, including on reports.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of zzTakeoff, our users, or others.

Business transfers. If zzTakeoff is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Service is used, and support our advertising. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do not accept cookies, some features of the Service may not work properly. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

6. Community

The Service may include a community where users can post and discuss. Anything you post there is public. Use caution before sharing personal information in any public area.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We are not obligated to retain information indefinitely, and we may delete information and content associated with accounts that have been inactive for an extended period after providing reasonable notice. After your account is terminated, we may delete Your Content as described in our Terms of Use. Residual copies may remain in our backups for a limited period before they are removed on our regular backup cycle.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, and regular backups, including backups stored in a separate geographic region. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at support@zztakeoff.com and we will delete it.

10. International Users

zzTakeoff is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, by visiting zztakeoff.com/links/unsubscribe, or by contacting us at support@zztakeoff.com. We will still send emails about your account, billing, and important Service notices.

Access, correction, and deletion. You may access and update your account information in the Service, or contact us at support@zztakeoff.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may retain information we are required or permitted to keep.
