I’d like to suggest a new feature that allows users to convert hover-over notes into persistent notes on the takeoff page.
Right now, when hovering over a takeoff item, zzTakeoff generates a tooltip displaying additional information (e.g., area, perimeter, segment count, point count). It would be useful to allow users to press “P” on the keyboard while hovering over a takeoff item to automatically create a Note in that position with the same tooltip details.
✅ Faster Documentation – Users can quickly add relevant takeoff details as permanent notes without manually retyping.
✅ Better Visual References – Keeps critical information visible on the page rather than requiring a hover action to view it.
✅ Streamlined Workflow – Instead of taking screenshots or adding manual annotations, users can convert takeoff details into notes instantly.
✅ Standardized Reporting – Ensures that takeoff details remain visible when reviewing the project later or sharing with a team.
1️⃣ Hover over a takeoff item (Area, Count, Linear, etc.).
2️⃣ Press "P" on the keyboard.
3️⃣ The system creates a Persistent Note at that location containing the same tooltip data.
4️⃣ Users can move, edit, or delete the note as needed.
This small enhancement would make annotating and reviewing takeoff data much more efficient. Let me know your thoughts and if this is something that could be considered for a future update!

Thanks for this detailed feature suggestion! What you're describing is very similar to a measurement tag system we're currently considering. Here's a preview of how the functionality could work
creating persistent tags showing area, perimeter, and count data, which could be edited and customized.
Since this concept seems to align closely with your needs, we'd love to hear from you and other community members:
All Users feedback will help us shape this feature to best match your workflow needs!
Please share your thoughts as we continue to evaluate this for potential future implementation.
